Jon Richardson is a Visiting Fellow at the ANU Centre for European Studies. A former Australian diplomat who covered Eastern Europe from Moscow (in the Soviet Union and later Russia), Belgrade, London and Canberra, he also served as High Commissioner in Nigeria and Ghana.
