Inside Story was launched in 2008 to bridge the gap between high-quality academic writing and the best journalism. Originally based at Swinburne University, we’re now published by a nonprofit company set up to sustain our publishing. Our aim is to go behind the twenty-four-hour news cycle to analyse political, economic and cultural trends and assess new books and ideas from an Australian perspective.
